The former Modern Family star used a hilarious throwback scene from the show to come out as bisexual, while also opening up about growing up in the spotlight.

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons Comes Out As Bi

Looks like Lily Tucker-Pritchett really knew herself all along — and so does the actress who played her!

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, the now-17-year-old star who grew up on Modern Family, came out as bisexual in a hilariously fitting way.

On TikTok, she lip-synced to a classic Season 4 scene from the show where Lily dramatically declares, “No I’m not, I’m gay!” after being mistaken for something else. Aubrey captioned the clip, “People keep joking so much abt me being gay when I literally am (I’m bi).” The post, shared during Pride Month, was wrapped in humor and heart, ending with: “hehe happy pride month and to all a good night.”

Fans were here for it — and so are we. Aubrey joined the Emmy-winning sitcom back in 2011 when she was just four years old, making history as the youngest SAG Award winner ever thanks to the show’s ensemble cast. But while she stole scenes as Lily, being in the spotlight wasn’t always sunshine and sitcoms.

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons Says Growing Up On Modern Family Set Was Not Easy

In a recent TikTok to her 2.6 million followers, Aubrey got real about growing up on set. “I was not forced into anything,” she said, clarifying that her mom never pushed her into acting. Still, she admitted it was tough being judged so young, saying people often criticized her acting choices even as a little kid. “It was really hard for me to grow up with so many people’s opinions around me,” she shared.

Since Modern Family ended, Aubrey’s been keeping a lower profile — only appearing in a short film called Tallwinds this year — but she’s not stepping out of the spotlight entirely. Lately, she’s been teasing a new chapter: music. Yep, she recently dropped a snippet of what looks like a music video, hinting that new tunes are coming soon.

With her big heart, bold spirit, and a fanbase that’s grown with her, Aubrey’s proving she’s more than a child star — she’s a young artist finding her voice, both on and off the mic.
