Eventually, the group managed to tackle Gille and hold him down until police arrived, which, by the way, was in just three minutes from the first 911 call. From the time the call came in to the time Gille was in custody? Only one minute. That’s a response time Sheriff Mike Shea called “remarkable,” and likely a big reason more people weren’t hurt.
Thankfully, most of the victims are recovering. According to Munson Medical Center, one has already been released, two are in serious condition, and the rest are stable.
